About “Mokausi Lietuvoje“

The public institution “Mokausi Lietuvoje” is established by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Sport. The goal of “Mokausi Lietuvoje” is to modernize the application process to educational institutions by creating a Centralised Information System for Admission to Educational Programmes (CPIS), which ensures equal opportunities for everyone to access effective admission to educational programmes services tailored to individual needs.

The public institution “Mokausi Lietuvoje” will provide services needed for education participants at all levels – education providers, teachers, students, and citizens and residents of the Republic of Lithuania. “Mokausi Lietuvoje” will act as an information source about education providers, educational programmes, admission conditions, and admission results.

During the implementation of the project, the created CPIS information system will enable accessible application and admission services for formal and non-formal educational programmes, including pre-school, pre-primary, primary, secondary, and supplementary education for children. The service will cover all stages of admission – from application submission to contract conclusion.

What is CPIS?

CPIS is a Centralised Information System for Admission to Education Programmes that ensures equal opportunities for everyone to access effective admission to education programmes services tailored to individual needs. The admission services follow a one-stop shop principle.

For whom CPIS is intended?

CPIS is intended for education participants at all levels – students (14 years old and older), education providers, municipal administrations and other related institutions.

What purpose does CPIS serve?

The CPIS information system covers all stages of admission to educational programmes—from submitting an application to signing a study contract.

Who determines the admission procedures for schools?

The admission procedures for state and municipal general education schools are determined by the municipal councils or the Ministry of Education, Science, and Sport. Private schools set their own admission conditions.
